Addressing London's Needs: Skills for the Logistics Sector

Greater London’s vibrant economy relies heavily on a robust logistics sector. However, challenges like skills shortages and barriers to entry exist. To support London workforce development GLA priorities and keep the capital moving, there’s a clear need for accessible pathways into skilled roles like HGV driving. Recognising this, the Think Employment GLA collaboration offers targeted programmes to equip Londoners with the necessary qualifications and practical expertise.

The Collaborative Solution: Skills Bootcamp in HGV Driving

A key part of our GLA partnership is the Skills Bootcamp in HGV Driving. This intensive programme provides a focused training pathway, leveraging GLA Funding and the Adult Education Budget London to make careers in logistics accessible. The Bootcamp covers everything from theory tests and HGV driving regulations to practical skills like safe loading procedures and techniques for fuel efficiency, preparing learners thoroughly for both their tests and the demands of the industry.
