Moazma’s Success Story

We’ve asked Moazma, a participant in our Skills Bootcamps in Teaching Support a few questions about her journey towards becoming a Teaching Assitanty. She attributes her newly found confidence and interview success thanks to the knowledge she’s gained from the program. Having received three job offers already, Moazma particularly credits her understanding of safeguarding and other crucial topics to the comprehensive course curriculum. Not only has she enjoyed the variety of subjects covered, but she also appreciates the supportive learning environment fostered by our knowledgeable tutors. Here’s what Moazma had to say about how the course has equipped her with the confidence to confidently progress in her career, even considering roles she previously thought were out of her reach.

1. What would you say has had the greatest positive impact on you so far from undertaking the course?

Through this course I have had a growth in confidence. I can confidently attend interview and had three jobs offered. The responses I got from the school’s has been great. This was from knowledge building on safeguarding and other areas. I managed to answer these thoroughly through what we gained. I have covered a variety of topics and enjoyed participating in class.

2. What would you say to someone who is un-decided as to whether to undertake this course or not, what would you say are the benefits?

I think everyone that wants to go into TA role should do this course. We have amazing tutors that are so supportive, knowledgeable and deliver the lessons with clarity and make the process amazing and fun. We can work in groups and learn from each other, and the course allows us too confidently progress in to a career while on the course. We are supported and covered by a great team of tutors and support from the career side too.

3.  Has this course given you any new-found confidence or ability so far?

I feel I can now go into a level 3 TA role confidently and previously was not so confident, as I did not learn the important parts through the level 2

4. Do you feel this course supports you in gaining / progressing in employment, if so, why/how?

I discussed with at my interview and would never have attempted a secondary school, however now I feel I can do this and reach level 3 within the school I got a job at successfully. I would also in the future would like to take roles of safeguarding lead or part of a Senco team.
