Think Employment, the Grimsby based adult training company has announced the expansion of their head office and learning centre, aiming to provide improved support for both job seekers and local employers.
To mark the opening of the new facilities, they will be launching a new service for local Jobseekers and Employers on Tuesday 24th September at The Linked Inn event at Blundell Park – a pop-up pub where local companies can network with people looking for work or a career change.
The improved provision will reiterate that ‘one-size does not fit all’ and will provide job seekers with a personalised training plan that focuses on their specific needs, skills and interests. In addition to the established pre-employment workshops, functional skills training courses and online qualifications that the company already provide; learners will also receive CV, interview and job application support.
During the training plans, individuals will work towards sector-specific qualifications which will increase their employability and enhance transferable skills which they can use in the world of work.
“We pride ourselves in providing high-quality support for local people who are looking to get back into work, learn new skills or start a new career” reported Richard Hallam. “We believe that this unique service will not only improve the quality of job-seekers in the area, but it will also increase the confidence, ability and happiness of the individuals who are looking for work”.
Local employers will also benefit from the additional support, in the form of free Grimsby Town centre interview facilities, help advertising their jobs and even sifting through their applications and creating job descriptions.
“Small-medium sized businesses do not often have the platform to promote their jobs to qualified candidates, which can often leave roles unfilled and businesses short staffed. We are proud to be able to offer this new service to increase uptake of local people for local jobs”.
