Scott Clark improved his job prospects in just two weeks by gaining four industry-specific qualifications along with a CSCS Card!
Scott wanted to gain some more qualifications to help improve his chances of finding work. After seeing an advert on Facebook for our two-week Employment Pathways training, including a CSCS card, Scott jumped at the chance to take part.
During this training workshop, Scott had the opportunity to achieve qualifications in Equality and Diversity, Social Media, Customer Service and IT. Upon completion of these qualifications, Scott was able to choose one of our eight Employment Pathways. He opted to gain a free CSCS Card as he is hoping to find work in Construction.
“The learning has helped me gain more confidence and I have been able to put my CV online to help find work,” Scott told us.
“I have also gained a CSCS card which will hopefully help me get a job.”
Scott had not completed any learning since 2013 and found the workshop quite challenging at times. But he worked hard and was able to achieve the qualifications he wanted.
“I really enjoyed the course and I learnt a lot about using social media to find a job and improved my customer service skills to.”
Stephanie Scothorn, who ran the workshop, was impressed by Scott’s willingness to participate in the course.
“Scott worked extremely well and took part in the sessions, giving examples of his knowledge to some of the questions based on his own experiences. He is a happy young man with a positive outlook,” Stephanie said.
With four new qualifications and a CSCS Card to add to his CV, Scott has more job opportunities than ever before.
