The most flexible Skills Bootcamp in Teaching Support with courses starting every two weeks.
If you’re looking to start a career in Teaching Support then our Skills Bootcamps are for you. Created with input from schools and supported by Greater Manchester Combined Authority, these flexible 16 week courses give people the opportunity to build up sector-specific skills and fast-track to an interview with an employer.
This course is 100% online but you must attend regular scheduled live lessons as this is an intensive course where you’ll need to follow our tutors instructions to complete each module.

Is there a cost?
Our Skills Bootcamps in Teaching Support are available at no cost to all eligible adults, within the communities they serve, including those employed, not in work or self-employed. This training has been made possible thanks to Greater Manchester Combined Authority securing funding for Skills Bootcamps, forming part of the Government’s Lifetime Skills Guarantee and funded through the Department of Education’s National Skills Fund.

Entry Requirements
- Adults aged 19 over on 31st August 2023
- Open to those who are unemployed, employed or self-employed.
- Live or work in Greater Manchester
- Right to work in the UK
- An adult must generally only undertake one skills bootcamp per funding year

We’ve built our Course Schedule with your everyday life in mind so you can fit your studies around your current job or carrying out the school run without missing out on live learning sessions.
Each week we’ll offer the ability to study in the morning, afternoon or evening so you can pick from the available units and times to suit your schedule.

Understand Child & Young Person Development Week 3 & 4
Expected pattern of development for children and young people from birth to 19 years Understand the factors that influence children and young people's development and how these affect practice Understand how to monitor children and young people's development and interventions that should take place if this is not following the expected pattern Understand the importance of early intervention to support the speech, language and communication needs of children and young people. Is there any cost involved?
Our courses are available at no cost to you because they’re government funded (subject to eligibility). This means you can start your career without any costs.
Do I need any experience?
This is an intensive 16 week programme that will give you an insight and understanding into a number of Teaching Support roles and does not require any placements or former experience.
Do i need to attend in person?
The course is 100% online and does not require you to attend a centre. However, the sessions are live so you will need to be available for these at the times shown in the schedule.
Is there a qualification included?
On competion of our Skills Bootcamps in Teaching Support you’ll receive a nationally recognized Level 3 Award in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
Will i have support to gain employment?
Our dedicated team of Success Coaches will work with you to gain employment within Teaching Support, we’ll help you prepare for interviews as well as put you in touch with any of our partner schools with vacancies.
