Monday 4th March marks the start of four workshops taking place during the month at our Stockport centre.
Throughout March we’ll be running a Customer Service, Warehousing and Storage, Hospitality and Business Administration workshop, all tailored for their specific sectors with the aim of giving our learners the upper hand in the job market.
You will be able to build on your skills relevant to that particular sector and with the help of our in-house recruiter (see below) there’ll be no stopping you!
Starting Monday 4th March we are running a one-week workshop in Customer Service.
If you’re just embarking on a career in the sector and want a formal qualification, our workshop is a great place to start.
You’ll learn about the principles of customer service, equality and diversity in the workplace, understanding customer needs and expectations and receiving and transferring calls.
Warehousing & Storage
Could you see yourself as a packer, filler or forklift truck driver? If so then our Warehousing and Storage five day workshop starting Monday 11th March can lift you above the competition.
*See previous sentence for hilarious pun*
Last year there were 315 Warehousing jobs advertised in the Stockport area and an average sector wage of £25,465 – that’s more than the average UK wage according to findcourses.co.uk.
Throughout the course you will have the opportunity to learn about manual handling, warehousing equipment and health and safety. Alongside this you will also receive a Level 1 certificate in Warehousing and Storage which can be added to you CV to the delight of your prospective employers.
Hospitality ranked as high as sixth in a survey conducted by Tinypulse across 30,000 employees and 500 different companies to find out which sector was voted the happiest to work in. So, if you consider happiness to be a key ingredient of a job, a move into the hospitality sector isn’t a bad one.
There’s also not many better places to start your career in hospitality than our week-long workshop beginning on 18th March. It’s aimed at people who have little to no experience in the sector but are passionate to learn more about it.
You’ll learn about how to deliver efficient and reliable customer service, basic food and drink preparation and important health and safety information surrounding retail.
In 2017 there were 1,515 jobs advertised in the Stockport area alone – a clear sign that there’s demand for people in the sector. Think about how many people will be applying for those jobs, then, picture your CV and how much it will stand out from theirs if you have a Business Admin related qualification gracing the paper. We can help, with our five day workshop starting on 25th March.
You will get the chance to learn skills such as how to deliver efficient and reliable customer service and how to understand customer needs and expectations all while achieving a Level one qualification in Business Administration.
All courses are five days long (Monday – Friday) and they each start at 9:30 and run through until 16:00.
