Last week we launched our brand new apprenticeship that will help bridge the digital skills gap in Leeds.
After more than 12 months of development and employer-based research, we are ready to start delivering the Digital Marketing Apprenticeship and help turn people in the city into digital marketers.
On Thursday the whole team were present at The Round Foundry in Leeds for the launch of the apprenticeship. Around 20 representatives from businesses across the city and West Yorkshire were in attendance, to hear about how the apprenticeship allows businesses to train up existing staff or source new blood to manage their website, use social media to attract new customers, nurture leads through email marketing and co-ordinate campaigns.
The people at the event also got to hear talks from our digital marketing tutors Andy Manifield and Chris Lees, while Nigel Cliffe also spoke about Linkedin.
After the presentations, there was a chance for those in attendance to ask our resident digital marketers any burning questions.
During the 18-month programme, apprentices will deep-dive into the key areas of digital marketing and work on a series of real-life marketing projects that will bring tangible benefits to the businesses themselves – all with the guidance of our digital marketing experts.
Thanks to the government’s commitment to upskilling the UK’s workforce, the most a company would have to pay for this specialist training is £1,250. That’s for 18-months of coaching from digital marketers with a wealth of experience in areas such as Paid Traffic, SEO and Content Marketing.
We’re now recruiting for first cohort of apprentices. If you’d like more information about the Digital Marketing Apprenticeship, either call 0800 433 7042 or email [email protected].
